What else can the camera see? That is a question I always pose when I am looking through the viewfinder. Most of the time there is not a complete photograph. Usually I am only gathering fragments to be used at a later time. Several years may lapse before I find a place to use an image. When the images finally fall together is when the magic appears for me.
